This course will show you how to collect valid, representative samples to evaluate employee exposure to airborne chemicals, and noise, in the work environment. We will show you how to interpret the results based on current exposure standards. Minimize the cost of hiring consultants to conduct routine monitoring required by OSHA standards and good practice.

WHAT THIS COURSE WILL COVER

How to:

  • Collect air samples for dusts, fumes, mists, gases and vapors.
  • Monitor employee exposure to, and point sources of, noise.

  • Apply occupational exposure limits (OEL), such as the ACGIH Threshold Limit Values (TLVs) and the OSHA standards (PELs), to the results of the sampling.
  • Calibrate the flow rate through sample media.
  • Develop a sampling strategy based on the severity of exposure.
  • Recognize industrial hygiene hazards.
  • Measure air flow in ventilation systems.
  • Understand the selection, use, maintenance and fit testing of respirators.
  • Measure air contaminants for confined space entry.

Move Forward with Confidence knowing that with Bureau Veritas on your team, finding and correcting exposures that could lead to occupational disease or OSHA citations are just a seminar away.
